Woking Bustler Dial-a-Ride: providing transport for people in Woking who have mobility problems since 1991

Group Transport

Our minibuses are also available for use by community groups requiring transport for their regular activities or for occasional days or evenings out. We can either provide a driver or the group can use their own volunteer driver, subject to an assessment by our MIDAS trainer. To find out more, ring our Advice Line 01483 744800.

Silver Service

For smaller groups or families we also have a 4 seater (driver and 3 passengers plus one wheelchair) specially adapted Ford Tourneo "people carrier". The Tourneo can be hired with or without a driver for short or long trips, or holidays, anywhere in the country! To find out more, ring our Advice Line 01483 744800.

Town Centre Buggy

For anybody who has difficulty in walking, the Town Centre Buggy will take you anywhere within the pedestrianised precinct area of Woking town centre for free. The Buggy continuously circuits the precinct so just hail and stop it at any point. The Buggy service is available Monday to Friday between 09.30 am and 1.30 pm.

Bustler Dial-A-Ride and the Town Centre Buggy connect at the Civic Offices with the Woking shopMobility service. In 2006, a new Mobility Exchange was opened at the Civic Offices to provide somewhere comfortable where you can wait for these services.

We are grateful to Woking Borough Council and Friends of the Elderly for their contributions towards the running costs of the Town Centre Buggy.

Woking shopMobility

Once Bustler Dial-A-Ride has brought you safely into Woking Town Centre, why not take advantage of the loan scheme operated by Woking shopMobility? This provides wheelchairs and scooters to anyone with a mobility difficulty.

By arrangement, one of the shopMobility staff or volunteers will be pleased to meet you off the Bustler Dial-A-Ride minibus at the Mobility Exchange. They will supply you with the mobility vehicle of your choice and ensure that you can use it safely and confidently. Alternatively, shopMobility staff or volunteers are happy to push you in a manual wheelchair or just to accompany you on a visit around the town.

shopMobilty costs £5.00 for a single visit or you can become a member for £12.00 per year and pay a reduced fee of £3.00 per visit.
